DIRECTIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTORS

As an individual CHTI, you have been certified through Healing Touch International to teach the HTI Healing Touch Certificate Program classes (for which you have been trained). Here are the steps you need to complete:

1. Complete the three simple instructor forms and return all three to Healing Touch International. The paperwork is needed to confirm the levels you are already prepared to teach at this time, and to register to be able to give continuing nursing & massage education contact hours.

2. Healing Touch International will send you resources that you can use to teach your classes as soon as we receive your forms. There is no charge for use of these resources.

The resources refer to the source texts (Hover-Kramer: Healing Touch A Guidebook for Practitioners; Joy, Joy’s Way, and Brennan: Hands of Light) as these are available to the general public and students for use, and they reflect back to the HTI Healing Touch Certificate Program course objectives and content. Note: Note: Submit any additional class materials to HTI for review and approval by the HTI Education Committee.

3. Be a CHTI in good standing:

Be a CHTI currently certified through Healing Touch International
Be approved to teach the course level being taught
Adhere to the HTI Instructor Guidelines [VIEW...]
Advertise and teach to the HTI Healing Touch Certificate Program course objectives, course content and course completion requirements.
Provide a certificate of attendance from a qualified continuing nursing education provider for all nurses desiring nursing continuing education contact hours. All other attendees will receive a simple certificate of attendance. (e.g.: This can be from HTI, a hospital, college, professional association or board of nursing.)
Submit within 30 days of class: (international countries may arrange individualized time schedule)
- Class List Report
- Participant Evaluations
- Participant Evaluation Summary Report
- Class Brochure/Flyer or any Advertising Used
- Typed, Separate Page of any Class Comments
- $45 per student for classes advertised as regular tuition of $300 or more.
- $38 per student for classes advertised as regular tuition of $275 or less.
- $38 per student or 15% of the regularly advertised tuition of $225 or less.
- Fees are the same for all students, regardless of other tuition rates, or discounts offered. No fee is due for helpers/coordinators.
- Fees combine the HTI user fee, the certificate fee, and the administration fees.
- If there is a problem within the class, please attach a letter stating the issue and how it was resolved, or contact HTI if additional action is needed.

4. Advertising:

HTI has sample brochures which you can customize and print with your instructor information and class details.(Date, Location, Registration Fees, Instructor bio)
The nursing continuing education statement from the American Holistic Nurses Association must be stated exactly as it appears on the brochure template from HTI. Currently, this statement reports that application for nursing continuing education has been made. When HTI receives approval, HTI will issue a revised brochure.
If you change the HTI class brochure template, you will need to send it to HTI for approval prior to distribution, to meet our continuing education requirements. Once approved, these materials do not need to be resubmitted unless changes are made.
