Level 1 Instructor Training Class
Prerequisites
-
Certified Healing Touch Practitioner
-
Baccalaureate or higher degree in any field or the equivalent in education or experience.
-
A nurse or has had college level preparation in Anatomy & Physiology, Psychology, and Medical Ethics.
-
Active practice for at least one year (at least 5 clients/month and includes at least 10 different clients during a years time.)

Served as a class helper, coordinator or mentor during past year.
Class Objectives At completion of the class the instructor trainee will be able to:

Identify the role of the Level 1 instructor.
-
Identify at least five adult learning principles and their application.
-
Discuss how class objectives guide student learning.
-
Identify how HTI’s instructor guidelines support student learning.
-
Discuss classroom management techniques regarding: domination, skepticism, and emotional disturbance.
-
Identify at least five strategies which can be use to maintain student focus, safety, comfort and pacing of student activities.
-
Identify at least five strategies used to facilitate increased awareness of etheric energy
-
Identify at least two strategies used to facilitate increased awareness of heart energy.
-
Describe how and when vicarious learning and role modeling are best used.

Identify the teacher’s role in demonstration and return demonstration and how it supports learning.
-
Identify energy principle application problems common to each technique to be taught and, using a heart centered approach, how to assist students through these challenges.

Discuss efficient and effective ways to use teaching aid and resource materials.
-
Identify the objectives to be achieved through each of the field observation and practice teaching experiences.
-
Identify at least two avenues to network with other instructors and explain their advantages.
-
Discuss marketing strategies and related legal, ethical, and moral issues.
