2010 HTI Conference Keynote Speakers

Personally and professionally explore new knowledge, connections and opportunities as we blossom forth into new frontiers.  This year's conference agenda promises outstanding programming, unparalleled seminars, the latest exhibits, relationship building and fun! Here's a glimpse of outstanding keynotes already on the docket: 

Anodea Judith
Anodea Judith, PhD
is a leading authority on the therapeutic application of the chakra system, a popular workshop presenter, and evolutionary activist. Her books have been considered classics in the field, and include Eastern Body-Western Mind, Chakra Balancing, and Wheels of Life, as well as the award-winning video: The Illuminated Chakras. Her most recent book Waking the Global Heart maps the chakra system onto our collective journey and won two literary awards in 2007. With a million books in print in 15 languages, she is a leading voice in the world of healing and cultural transformation.



Luke Brian SeawardBrian Luke Seaward, PhD is a renowned and respected international expert in the fields of stress management, mind-body-spirit healing and health promotion. The wisdom of Brian Luke Seaward can be found quoted in PBS specials, college lectures, medical seminars, boardroom meetings, church sermons, keynote addresses, and graduation speeches all over the world.  His mission, as expressed through his legacy of acclaimed books and public appearances, is to make this a better world in which to live by having each of us reach our highest potential. Dr. Seaward is an award- winning author, photographer, teacher, celebrated film director/producer and much sought after inspirational speaker. He truly touches hearts, and most anyone will tell you, this is how he heals. Through his teachings, he offers a unique synthesis of insights blending the "ageless wisdom" of human spirituality with the topic of stress to reveal the unique alchemy of humanity and divinity, what we call the "human journey." 

Schlitz

Marilyn Mandala Schlitz, PhD is a scientist and anthropologist for three decades.  She has pioneered clinical and field-based research in the area of human consciousness, transformation and healing. She is a thought leader on matters of individual and social change whose respected voice offers new insights into the most pressing challenges of our time. A researcher, speaker, change consultant, and writer, Marilyn's books include: Living Deeply: The Art and Science of Transformation in Everyday Life and Consciousness and Healing: Integral Approaches to Mind Body Medicine. She writes, “We are alive at a time between stories. Out of this place of convergence are great new possibilities for the human condition. I enjoy thinking and writing about these opportunities.”  

Marilyn serves as the CEO and President of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), where she has worked for 15 years. She is also Senior Scientist at the California Pacific Medical Center. Noetic Science is featured prominently in the new novel by Dan Brown, The Lost Symbol.      

Dave EbenhohDave Ebenhoh, BA, MA  Dave is Founder, Principal of Stillwater Speaks Consulting, and offers Executive and Leadership Coaching, Spiritual Formation and Direction, Group Facilitation and Discernment, Team Development and Intensive Retreats.  For the past 20 years, Dave has worked toward the integration of spirituality, life, and leadership in his own life through his study of philosophy and spirituality, meditation, prayer, art and writing, and through his experience as a teacher, minister, non-profit administrator and fundraiser, and now through his work with leaders and executives. Dave has worked with executives from Ascension Health, the nation’s third largest health care system, The Maritz Institute and Aquinas Institute of Theology. At this time, Dave offers gifts of deep listening, teaching, discernment, skills with working with individuals and groups.

 

Sue KagelSue Kagel RN, BSN, HNB-BC, CHTP/I  Sue is President of Healing Touch International. She has been in nursing for over 30 years with a focus on holism and wellness. She created the Healing Touch service at Canyon Ranch Health Resort, Tucson, where she presents interactively, integrating Healing Touch, energy medicine, holism, intentionality and spirituality. Sue is on faculty with the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, University of Arizona working with Andrew Weil's Program teaching Healing Touch and energy medicine. She is co-author of an NIH research grant using Healing Touch with stressed neonates in the NICU where she collaborated with Gary Schwartz, Sharon McDonough- Means and others. Sue has been an HTI Instructor since 2001 and has taught within the US and in impoverished areas of Ecuador.  Inspiration, intention and integration are key aspects in her personal and professional life.

 

 

Gary SchwartzGary Schwartz, PhD (On site at the U. of Arizona Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health) Gary is Director of the VERITAS Research Program, is a professor of Psychology, Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Surgery at the University of Arizona and director of its Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health and its Center for Frontier Medicine in Biofield Science. He is also Director of Development of Energy Healing for Canyon Ranch Resorts. After receiving his doctorate from Harvard University, he served as a professor of psychology and psychiatry at Yale University, director of the Yale Psychophysiology Center, and co-director of the Yale Behavioral Medicine Clinic. Dr. Schwartz has published more than four hundred scientific papers, edited eleven academic books, is the author of The Afterlife Experiments, The G.O.D. Experiments, and The Truth About Medium, is the co-author of The Living Energy Universe, and his latest book, The Energy Healing Experiments was released in 2007.
